68th Annual Hillsborough Concours d'Elegance To Honor Mustang, Miata, Ferrari Challenge and Packard Special Anniversaries on June 23

• Eagerly Awaited Annual Event Will Be Highlighted by Display of

• More Than 200 Pristine Collector Cars at Crystal Springs Golf Course

HILLSBOROUGH, CA (May 20, 2024) –The Hillsborough Concours d'Elegance-–the world's longest continually running concours--today announced it will honor landmark anniversaries of four of the automotive world's most notable models during festivities on June 23 at Crystal Springs Golf Course in Burlingame.

This year's Hillsborough Concours will celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Ford Mustang, Mazda Miata's 35th anniversary, the 30th year of the Ferrari Challenge and the 125th anniversary of Packard. Curated classes that will showcase the history of those four marques will be on display for Hillsborough show-goers.

Making a special appearance at the Hillsborough Concours will be Tsutomu 'Tom' Matano, chief designer of the MX-5 Miata at the time of its introduction in 1989. Mr. Matano will share memories and offer perspectives about the development of the acclaimed Mazda roadster and its impact on the global automotive community.

'Given the profound impact that Mr. Matano has had on automotive design, we're especially proud to welcome him to this year's celebration,' said Hillsborough Concours d'Elegance Chairman Glen Egan. 'Innovative design will be a common theme this year, as evidenced in the display of hundreds of treasured vehicles, from historically significant sedans and sports cars to our ever-popular gathering of supercars.'

In addition to those special displays, the Concours will feature more than 20 judged classes of 'Automobiles of Distinction.' Non-judged special displays will include Vintage Hot Rods, Mustang 60th Anniversary, Miata 35th Anniversary, Modified European Sports Cars through 1987, Ferrari Challenge 30th Anniversary and Vintage Pedal Cars.

A Weekend Celebration

The Concours will complete a memorable weekend of festivities that will start on Saturday morning with the annual Hillsborough Tour d'Elegance road rally, which navigates the Bay Area's most stunning back roads. The Tour will again finish at a secret location of distinction for lunch. That evening, the 'Start Your Engines' kick-off party will be held at an exclusive, private vintage car club located in a historic building in Burlingame. Founded in 1956, the Concours presents exceptionally rare automobiles spanning virtually every genre and marque, from hot rods and muscle cars to sports cars, and elegant classic luxury models in a magnificent setting on the stunning 18th fairway of the Crystal Springs Golf Course.

Partnering with the Town of Hillsborough, The all-volunteer Hillsborough Concours Foundation organizes this annual sell-out event and raises proceeds for Ability Path, The Guardsmen and the Hillsborough Schools Foundation.
