1938 Oldsmobile Series F news, pictures, and information

Convertible

The 1938 Oldsmobile Series F design was a continuation of past models and was still the division sales leader. It kept the shorter wheelbase, but gained a cleaner-looking front end.

The Series F offered a 230 cubic-inch, six-cylinder power plant that developed 95 horsepower, a sliding gear synchromesh transmission and the newly introduced air-cooled battery.

As the economy was recovering from the Depression, Oldsmobile represented themselves as a company with good, solid transportation in a variety of sixes and eights at popular prices. The 1938 Oldsmobiles were described as the 'smartest models for smart occasions and personal use.' The convertible was the lowest production Olds model in 1938.
