BRENTWOOD, Essex, 5 November, 2018 – Lisa Brankin is appointed director, Sales, Ford of Britain, effective January 1, 2019.

In her new role, Brankin will be responsible for all of Ford's sales distribution channels, including the Ford dealer network and online sales, in the United Kingdom. She will continue to report to Andy Barratt, chairman and managing director, Ford of Britain.

Brankin – currently director, Marketing, Ford of Britain, a position she has held since August 2015 – replaces Kevin Griffin who is retiring from Ford after more than 40 years of service.

'Lisa has shown great leadership as our marketing lead in the U.K. over the past three years, and I know she is the right person to take on the challenges and opportunities on the sales front in what is Ford's largest market in Europe,' said Andy Barratt.

Before becoming the director, Marketing, Brankin was director, Dealer Operations, where she was responsible for all sales support and dealer representation activities in the U.K., including the implementation of Transit Specialist Dealer Centres and rolling out the FordStore initiative, a network of upgraded, new-look dealerships where customers can experience the full range of Ford vehicles and services.

Brankin joined Ford as a graduate trainee and has held various roles within Ford's sales and marketing function in Britain, Europe and at the global level. Her replacement as the marketing lead in Ford of Britain will be announced later.

Prior to his appointment as Ford of Britain's director, Sales, in 2015, Kevin Griffin was director, Commercial Vehicles, Ford of Europe. He held a number of other leadership roles at Ford, including director, Field Sales, and director, Fleet Sales, both in Ford of Britain, and director, Regional Sales Operations, Ford of Europe.

'Throughout his career, Kevin has displayed tremendous passion and dedication to the Ford brand, our vehicles, and to building strong relationships with our customers and dealer partners. We all wish him every happiness in his retirement,' said Barratt.
