ROLLS-ROYCE MOTOR CARS APPOINTS NEW HEAD OF INTERIOR DESIGN

Starke began his career in the automotive industry with Volkswagen and Audi, before moving to the Interior Design team at BMW in 2001. He was appointed Head of Interior Design for BMW i in 2009, with responsibility for the interior design of the BMW i3 and i8. Starke was born in Subotica, former Yugoslavia and brought up in the Netherlands. He holds a degree in Automotive Design from the University of Applied Science, Pforzheim, Germany. He speaks several languages including English, German and Dutch. Speaking from the Home of Rolls-Royce at Goodwood in West Sussex, Director of Design Giles Taylor said, 'We are delighted to welcome Daniel to the Rolls-Royce family. His considerable design experience, proven track record and contemporary thinking are an ideal match for the world's leading luxury company. He will be a very valuable addition to the Rolls-Royce design team.' Alan Sheppard, current Head of Interior Design, moves to a new role with Rolls-Royce as Head of Colour, Materials and Accessories Design, leading the expanding colour, trim and accessories team. Starke and Sheppard assume their new roles with immediate effect.
