Inaugural Spring Classic Tickets are on Sale Now

Celebrating Vintage Race Cars and Motorcycles May 19-21 at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca

Monterey, Calif., February 1, 2017 — Ticket sales for the inaugural Spring Classic vintage car races and motorcycle exhibitions May 19-21 are now on sale. Can-Am, Historic Trans-Am and Formula One are among the feature races for the three-day festival.

The Spring Classic will provide motorsport fans with access to some of the most famous cars in racing. Entries are arriving hourly for the selection committee to evaluate in order to put the best of the best in the paddock … and on the track.

Advance ticket prices range from $20 for a Friday only ticket up to $60 for a three-day admission and paddock ticket. VIP hospitality packages are available in the Premier Pit Row Suites starting at $300 per person for the full three days. The nine groups of historic race cars that will be in competition include 1967-1972 Formula B, 1973-1984 SCCA Production GT Cars, 1966-1972 Trans-Am, 1966-1974 Can-Am, 1973-1979 Formula Atlantic, 1966-1972 Trans-Am 2.5 Liter, 1983-2007 World Sports Car – Le Mans Prototype, 1979-2006 Historic Stock Cars, and 1967-1984 Formula 1. Two-wheel enthusiasts can also enjoy historic motorcycles making exhibition laps each day.

The 2017 major event season features Ferrari Challenge, May 12-14; Spring Classic vintage car races and motorcycle exhibitions, May 19-21; Superbike World Championship, July 7-9; Monterey Pre-Reunion, August 12-13; Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion, August 17-20; Continental Tire Monterey Grand Prix, September 21-24; and the Pirelli World Challenge, October 12-15.

Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca was built by and has been managed since its inception in 1957, when it was known as Laguna Seca Raceway, by the Sports Car Racing Association of the Monterey Peninsula (SCRAMP). SCRAMP is a non-profit 501(c)(4) corporation with the purpose of managing the Laguna Seca Recreation Area that is owned by the County of Monterey.
