2002 Hyundai Accent WRC

The 2002 Hyundai Accent WRC3 features a lighter chassis with increased suspension travel to optimize handling. Revised aerodynamics make the car more efficient, reducing the drag and improving the aerodynamic stability. A front active differential is the only change to the transmission, although this has been used for the first two rounds of the season with positive results. The electronic mapping and the boost control of the engine have been revised together with minor mechanical changes to improve the driveability and response.

Production of the Hyundai Accent began in 1995 and served as a replacement for the Hyundai Excel, though in some markets it was called the Excel. In France it was called the Hyundai Pony.
