Mitsubishi i-MiEV Awarded 'Best Value Electric Passenger Car In America' By Vincentric
February 21, 2017 by MitsubishiMitsubishi Mirage and Mirage G4 identified as having the Lowest Cost of Ownership in their class CYPRESS, Calif., – The Mitsubishi i-MiEV was announced as the 2017 winner of the Vincentric Best Value in America™ award for the Electric/Plug-in Hybrid segment. Now in its 13th year, Vincentric performs a cost of ownership analysis at the model level to determine Vincentric Best Value in America awards yearly. In addition to the i-MiEV taking the Best Value in America award in its category, the Mirage and the Mirage G4 were identified as having the Lowest Cost of Ownership in its class of any Subcompact and Subcompact Hatchback in America. Vincentric measures cost-of-ownership using eight different cost factors: depreciation, fees & taxes, financing, fuel, insurance, maintenance, opportunity cost and repairs. Using a statistical model, Vincentric identified the Best Value in America winners by measuring which vehicles had lower than expected ownership costs given their market segment and price. Over 3,000 vehicle configurations were evaluated in all 50 states plus D.C. using a range of annual mileage intervals and insurance profiles.
