1996 was the final year for the Chevrolet Beretta. The 2-door coupe came with air conditioning, tinted glass, rear seat heating ducts, a retractable cup-holder in the instrument panel, courtesy lights, delayed entry and exit theater lighting with dimmer, Comfort Guide rear safety belts, passive front belts, AM/FM seek-scan stereo, a digital clock, a driver's air bag, low-coolant and low-oil warning lamps, a headlights-on warning tone, daytime running lights, battery rundown protection, a stainless-steel exhaust system, Level 1 soft-ride suspension, a cigarette lighter, ash tray, a storage bin, and four-way manual driver's seat. Power was from a 2.2-liter MFI four-cylinder engine offering 120 horsepower. An optional 3.1-liter V6 was available, delivering 155 horsepower. The Beretta Z26 Coupe offered P205/60R15 black sidewall tires, a rear deck lid spoiler, dual horns, a cassette tape player, the 3.1-liter SFI V6, a front lower spoiler, specific ground effects, intermittent windshield wipers, a Level II Soft Sport suspension, a four-speed automatic transmission, a block-out body-color grille, fog lamps, body-color remote-control sport mirrors, dual covered sun visors with map straps, custom cloth reclining sport bucket seats with adjustable and articulating head restraints and inflatable lumbar support.
