1977 Chevrolet Series C10

The 1977 Chevrolet pickups received a new grille design which had four vertical dividers in place of the previous eight divider design. They also had two (rather than 3) horizontal bars. In the back was a single unit combination tail-stop-backup lights. New for this year was the Sport Package which added a special hood and side striping and white-spoke or Rally wheels. They also had Chevy Sport lettering on the upper box sides of Fleetlines and the rear spare tire cover on Stepsides. The base engine was an overhead valve six-cylinder unit displacing 250 cubic-inches and offering 110 horsepower. Several V8s were available, brining horsepower to 250 bhp. A selective synchromesh 3-speed manual was standard on trucks with the six-cylinder engine. Disc brakes were in the front with drums in the rear.
