INFINITI 'SHAPES THE FUTURE' AT GOODWOOD FESTIVAL OF SPEED 2015

June 29, 2015 by Infiniti

INFINITI 'SHAPES THE FUTURE' AT GOODWOOD FESTIVAL OF SPEED 2015WEST SUSSEX, England – At this year's Goodwood Festival of Speed (FoS) in the UK, Infiniti debuted a new stand, a new location and customer interest levels exceeding those of even the previous year's successful achievements. Infiniti, currently seeing record sales increases in the UK, welcomed visitors to the 'Infiniti Shapes the Future' stand on each of the four days of the FoS.

In Goodwood, Infiniti teased its forthcoming models with a glimpse of the Q30 hidden inside a unique Infiniti Q30 'Inspiration Box.' Visitors immersed themselves with an innovative 3D technology that showed the story of Infiniti's design heritage without the need to wear special glasses. The box, which housed a full-size Infiniti Q30 model, illuminated selective aspects of the car by using a series of LED lights to expose the distinctive design.

By tweeting #GlimpseQ30, the light show continued to highlight more of the vehicle by sending a blue LED light across its silhouette. The QX30 Concept and stunning Q60 Concept were displayed behind the box.

Infiniti's Festival of Speed stand also showcased Infiniti designers' racing dreams with a scale model of the Infiniti GT Vision Gran Turismo, a 'virtual' racer designed for the Gran Turismo®6 (GT6™) game.

'Design is at the heart of everything Infiniti does, and our concept models are famous for their boldness and seductive appeal,' said Francois Goupil De Bouille vice president for Infiniti in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Providing an exclusive feel for guests, the Infiniti stand was positioned on the Laundry Green, which is on the opposite side to the track than all the other manufacturers and trade stands and on the same side as Goodwood House. This let Infiniti benefit from the thousands of visitors who came to see the supercars and the amazing historical cars positioned in paddocks close to the Laundry Green.

With so many design-focused models on display, Simon Cox, design director of Infiniti Design London, was on hand to present and demonstrate how the Global Design team develops such outstanding concepts. Other special guests visiting the stand over the weekend included Christian Horner, Team Principal of the Infiniti Red Bull Racing team. Horner conducted a live one-to-one interview with F1 Sky Sports presenter David Croft, affectionately known as Crofty, whipping up the crowds with an entertaining Q&A session. Yamauchi Kazunori, the creator of the PlayStation Gran Turismo game, came to see the Infiniti Vision GT. Lord March, the owner of Goodwood House, also toured the stand.
