Set to deliver another outstanding selection of the world's finest cars, the entry list for this year's Chubb Insurance Concours d'Elégance gets off to a flying start with confirmation that the unique Porsche 911 that competed in the 1970 Tour de France will attend.

Established as one of the top three concours events in the world, the Chubb Insurance Concours d'Elégance returns to the opulence of Blenheim Palace, as part of this year's Salon Privé spectacular. With ten exciting classes now announced, the competition is expected to be fierce as the crème de la crème of the historic motoring world gather in Oxfordshire.

'Quite frankly, last year's competition set a very high standard, but we're confident of improving upon that,' commented Salon Privé Concours Chairman, Andrew Bagley. 'The Chubb Insurance Concours d'Elégance is known for bringing the most important and impressive collection of vehicles together, and this year's classes have enticed some outstanding entries out of hiding.'

A highlight of the early entries to the concours is the unique, ex-Works 1969 Porsche 911 TdF. Known as the lightest-ever factory-built 911, and having famously finished third overall in the 1970 Tour de France with Gerrard Larrouse, it will star in the Porsche Racing Pedigree class, having recently undergone a nut-and-bolt restoration.

With 50 Years of The Lamborghini Miura, Salon Privé is dedicating an entire class in celebration of the golden anniversary of the iconic prototype supercar. The first entry is confirmed as a late-production P400S model. With only 14,000 verified miles and just one of 24 right-hand-drive cars produced, it's sure to catch the attention of the Lamborghini aficionados.

Once campaigned by Elio Zagato, the prototype was passed to noted Italian driver Vittorio Gianni who raced extensively in Italian road events, such as the Coppa Inter-Europa and 1958 special edition of the Mille Miglia, as well as Grand Prix de Pau.

Now in its 11th year, the Chubb Insurance Concours d'Elégance has cemented its reputation as one of the calendar's must-attend events, and once again the roster of world-renowned judges will be led by chief-judge, five-times Le Mans winner Derek Bell MBE. Joining them is President of Historica Selecta Adolfo Orsi, Former World Champion Motocross Racer, Jeff Smith MBE and Rolls-Royce Design Director Giles Taylor.
