CARLISLE, PA – It seems like just yesterday that the 2016 Carlisle Events season launched with a sold out indoor swap meet in Allentown, Pennsylvania. One month later, auction season commenced with Winter AutoFest in Lakeland, Florida and now as Fall Carlisle looms, Carlisle Auctions is ready to provide its top notch brand of entertainment once more. For the third time in 2016, Carlisle Auctions will run decades of classic and collector cars/trucks across the auction block. This time around, the auction is part of Fall Carlisle. Fall Carlisle runs September 28-October 2, while the Carlisle Auctions' offering is September 29-30.

The September auction is sold out once again from a consignment stand point, though the option for gate admission or bidder registration remains and the auction promises to offer some of the best quality cars ever assembled by Carlisle Auctions. In addition to the auction being sold out, the amount of enthusiasts who have pre-registered to bid is also up over past auctions, proving that being part of a Carlisle Auction is as much of a social outing as it is an amazing investment opportunity.

Not only will Carlisle Auctions run 400+ pieces of automotive history across the block with each available to the highest bidder, the auction team will also move a car that has a charitable tie in. The year, make and model of the charity vehicle is TBD, but what is known is that its proceeds will directly benefit the American Red Cross. Many times, charity cars are run more than once, with a winning bidder asking the auction house to 'sell it again.' What this ultimately accomplishes is multiple donations and a benefit to the spotlight charity.

With hundreds of available classics, it is tough to showcase every one of them, but five stands out right now as tops among the group. Those five include a 1945 Chevy truck, a 1956 Ford Thunderbird, 1960 Willys, 1969 VW Bus and a 1961 Mercedes Benz 190sl.

The truck features a body off restoration and appears in the colors Brewster Green and Black over a two tone brown interior. It has some cool options too, including a deluxe heater, fog lamps, wood box floor with matching rails and more. The T-Bird comes in Turquoise Blue and is a frame off rotisserie restoration. Features include power steering, power brakes, power seat, electric windows, AM/FM radio and more.

Stepping into the '60s, the Willys is impressive from an off road stand point. This Jeep has just about 45,000 original miles on it and has also undergone a nearly complete restoration. Powered by a 4-cylinder engine and three speed transmission, its four wheel drive and rare over drive option make this one a must have! Two more gems from the '60s offer a unique German flare to the auction. First, the 1961 Mercedes 190sl had been in storage since the mid '80s and has under 60,000 original miles on its odometer. The Benz has been restored and repainted, including chrome and trip updates and still hosts its original dash, gauges and its leather and face finish. For the VW, this bus will take would be owners back to a time of tie-dye shirts, peace signs and an era of great music. Originally titled in Brazil and with a clean title from Florida, this VW bus unique at every turn. The engine and transmission were rebuilt less than 3,000 miles ago and its otherwise original and un-restored with no bodywork or rust.
