The Renault Master Platform Cab also comes complete with the reassurance of a four-year, 100,000-mile warranty together with four years' roadside assistance. Both conversions have full European Type Approval. Measuring 21ft long and 7ft 7 inches wide, the Telstar is a two-berth motorhome that offers spacious, stylish accommodation twinned with easy-to-handle manoeuvrability. Highlights of its extensive specification include a lounge that converts easily into a double or two single beds, a fully equipped kitchen featuring an Aspire 2 cooker with 42-litre oven, plus integrated microwave, Dometic fridge with freezer compartment, a washroom with corner sink, fully-lined shower, Thetford electronic toilet, and dimmable high level mood lighting. Roadstar customers choose from two versions of the four-berth motorhome – the TI and the SB. At night, the front lounge in the Roadstar TI converts into a double bed with a fixed island double bed at the rear, while the SB provides both double and single sleeping options. It has two single beds at the rear of the cabin and the lounge easily converts into single beds. The Roadstar also measures 7ft 7 inches wide, but is longer at 25ft 3 inches. Like the Telstar, the Roadstar has all the equipment needed for adventurers to enjoy a well-equipped and convenient home-from-home, including the same kitchen appliances, wash facilities and integrated ambient lighting. Brian Mellor, Chairman and CEO, Lunar Caravans, said: 'The Telstar and Roadstar have a huge amount of heritage and we're delighted to be relaunching them into the coachbuilt motorhome market after nearly a decade of absence. They are key to our business and re-establish our connection with Renault, which has proved very successful in the past. 'As a Stage 1 provider, Renault has been very good to work with and the specification of the Master Platform Cab makes it entirely suitable for our conversions. The equipment level is what is expected in the sector, it has a good access height and, importantly, the standard steel lining over the chassis is a major benefit as it ensures our GRP body is already protected from the elements and water ingress even before our own measures.' Heike Ferdinandt, Head of Motorhomes, Sales Department, Groupe Renault, said: 'We are exceptionally pleased to be back in the UK motorhome market with such a well-respected and major brand as Lunar. We look forward to continuing this successful partnership and helping to providing Lunar customers with class-leading motorhomes that offer a first-class drive and specification.' Peter Horton, Manager, Conversions, Groupe Renault UK, added: 'Lunar's new Telstar and Roadstar perfectly demonstrate the versatility of the Renault Master Platform Cab for a wide range of conversions. There's great potential for Renault products in the motorhome and luxury van conversion sector and it's an area where our products are sure to make a much greater impact in the future.' The Telstar is priced from £46,999 and the Roadstar TI and SB from £59,999. Customers can find their nearest Lunar dealership by visiting www.lunarmotorhomes.com The Renault Master Platform Cab forms the basis for many conversions that are available through the company's entire dealer network and also its specialised, business-focused Renault Pro+ dealers. These include 'off-the-shelf' Dropside, Box Van, Luton Loloader and Tipper variants. Renault also works in conjunction with 30 UK-based Approved Converters who are able to build bespoke vehicles on demand to Renault's high standards. Sales of the Renault Master Platform Cab contributed to Renault van sales in the UK growing by over 20 per cent to 13,435 vehicles in the first half of 2016, significantly outpacing the van market that grew by 2.5 per cent, according to official figures from the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders. LCV market share for the first half of 2016 stood at 7 per cent – up 1 percentage point on the same period in 2015. Renault's growth in the van market builds upon a record year for LCV sales in the UK last year, with sales up 40 per cent on 2014 to 25,458 units, and was also the best-selling LCV brand in Europe for the 18th consecutive year.
