Mecum Auctions' 25-Year Tradition Continues In Kansas City March 24-25World's Largest Collector-Car Auction Company Returns with 700 Vehicles on Offer

WALWORTH, Wis. – March 2, 2017
– For more than 25 years, Mecum Auctions has staged a collector-car auction in Kansas City, Missouri. The tradition continues March 24-25 when the world's largest collector-car auction company returns to the Kansas City Convention Center with an estimated 700 American muscle cars, classics, Corvettes, Hot Rods, Resto Mods and more.

Highlighting the consignments for Mecum Kansas City 2017 are a 1970 Shelby GT500 Fastback (Lot S103), one of just 789 Shelbys produced that model year, and a 1963 Ford Galaxie 500 (Lot S105) believed to have 13,500 original miles, mostly original code-J Rangoon Red Paint and an original black bench-seat interior. Other consignments that depict the impressive variety of the selection available for collector-car enthusiasts include a 1970 Plymouth Hemi Cuda (Lot S118), a 1977 Porsche 911S Wide Body (Lot S88) and a 1965 Chevrolet Malibu SS Convertible (Lot S86) that boasts a two-year frame-off restoration using NOS and original parts and components.

The auction is open to buyers, sellers and spectators. Bidder registration is $100 online in advance, $200 at the auction, and includes admission for the bidder and a guest for both auction days. General admission tickets are available in advance online for $20 per person, per day ($30 online and at the gate once the auction starts), and a two-day pass is available for $40; children 12 and younger receive complimentary admission.

Doors open daily at 8 a.m., with the auction kicking off with Road Art® at 9:30 a.m. and collector cars beginning daily at 10 a.m. NBC Sports Network will provide 11 hours of programming coverage, including 5.5 hours of live auction coverage, and a live stream of the entire auction will be available online at Mecum.com.
