DANVILLE, Virginia – Former GT Academy winner Ricardo Sanchez is set to make his U.S. race debut this weekend at Virginia International Raceway as the Always Evolving / AIM Autosport team returns to Pirelli World Challenge action in the SprintX championship.
Sanchez, from Mexico, will team with American Frankie Montecalvo, a former Pirelli World Challenge GTA class champion.
'After two years of racing in Europe, I'm looking forward to not having to worry about any jet lag,' Sanchez said.
'Now, it's just short flights to the U.S. and only one or two hours of time difference. I won't lose as much time just trying to get my body onto the time zone.
'It's going to be easier for sure. Going from this high altitude in Mexico down to sea level is going to be easier for me, physically, as well.'
