'Winning a championship is extremely difficult and there are so many variables that play vital parts, but we are passionate about taking on the biggest engineering challenges possible. You need a stellar team to achieve that, so this is what we have set up, and it shows in the results. I'm really excited about the progress that we've made and with the team we've got behind us now, there's nothing stopping us from being able to fight for the top all the way to the end.' Jean-Éric Vergne #25: 'I'm really excited about going back to Punta Del Este. This is the track where I made my Formula E debut in 2014. Back then, Formula E was still very new, and my first race was only the third race in the history of the championship. I managed to put it right on pole position, but didn't have my energy management nailed down. Needless to say, energy management became the number one priority to learn quickly, and I worked relentlessly to get on top of it. Now it's my best asset. 'We're now half way through the season and it's great to be in the position that we are in. However, we're not taking anything for granted and we're working uncompromisingly behind the scenes to remain at the top of the standings. I'm really enjoying the challenge and am looking forward to seeing what we can produce in Uruguay.' André Lotterer #18: 'The Mexico City E-Prix was challenging for me, but that is in the past now and as racers, we always look forward. The Punta Del Este track will be another new track for me, and I can't wait to drive it. It looks like a cool location, being situated right by the beach. 'I love South American culture so I'm looking forward to getting stuck in both on and off the track. It will be our last race of the South American leg before we head to Europe and I'd like to start the European part of the championship with more points in the bag, so that is the target.'
