'At Nissan we believe America needs more TITANs, so today we are celebrating the TITANs of the Community, TITANs of the Neighborhood and TITANs of the Outdoors with the launch of the first TV spot of our purpose-driven Calling All TITANs campaign,' added DePerez. 'The commercial, led by the outstanding directors Shawn Levy and Stephen Campanelli, highlights the inspirational work of the American Red Cross, Habitat for Humanity and the National Park Foundation – three national organizations we are proud to call partners.' New for the 2019 model year, TITAN and TITAN XD models add the 'emotion of a live performance' created by the new, segment-exclusive Fender Premium Audio System. The system features a 485-watt, 9-channel amplifier and Panasonic's proprietary Acoustic Motion Control™. It is offered on four 2019 TITAN and TITAN XD Crew Cab grade levels and one TITAN and TITAN XD King Cab model. Other 2019 model year refinements include a new standard 7.0-inch touchscreen audio/IT display with NissanConnect® featuring Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™, and Nissan's exclusive Rear Door Alert system1. Also added for 2019 are additional USB media and charge ports for the front and back seat passengers and two new exterior colors – Moab Sunset and Midnight Pine. The Rear Door Alert (RDA) system is now standard on all King Cab and Crew Cab TITAN and TITAN XD models. The system uses the vehicle's door sensors, horn and message display to help remind drivers to check the back seat after the vehicle is parked. Nissan plans to have RDA standard on all four-door trucks, sedans and SUV nameplates by model year 2022. 'In addition to being the traditional workhorse in the stable and hauling cargo, pickups today are used for hauling families – the most precious cargo of all,' DePerez said. 'With Nissan's Rear Door Alert system, TITAN drivers can feel even more confident whenever they leave their truck.' All 2019 TITAN and TITAN XD models are assembled in Canton, Mississippi and covered by 'America's Best Truck Warranty'2 – featuring bumper-to-bumper coverage for 5 years or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first. Vehicles covered by the new warranty, which includes basic and powertrain coverage, include all TITAN V8 gasoline-powered models and diesel and V8 gasoline-powered 2019 TITAN XD models. TITAN is available in a full range of rugged half-ton models, including Single Cab, King Cab and Crew Cab body configurations, 4x2 and 4x4 drive, and a choice of up to five grade levels. Every TITAN is powered by a 390-horsepower 5.6-liter Endurance® V8 gasoline engine mated to a 7-speed automatic transmission. The 2019 TITAN XD lineup includes Crew Cab, King Cab and Single Cab body styles, two bed lengths, choice of a powerful Cummins® 5.0L V8 Turbo Diesel or Nissan 5.6-liter Endurance® V8 engines, 4x4 or 4x2 drivelines and up to five well-equipped grade levels. TITAN XD has an available maximum towing capacity of 12,710 pounds and maximum payload capacity of 2,990 pounds (when properly equipped). For 2019, the TITAN XD Diesel also adds a larger capacity DEF tank and a new integrated gooseneck hitch with a plug inside the bed for even greater ease of towing. Both TITAN and TITAN XD are available with a special Midnight Edition Package, which provides a custom look straight from the factory. The Midnight Edition Package includes body color front grille with dark insert, dark headlamps, black fog lamp finisher, black exterior badging, black mirrors, black door handles, 20-inch black wheels, body color front and rear bumpers, black step rains, black interior trim and 'Midnight Edition' exterior badge.
