Mitsubishi Motors In The UK Continues Strong 2018 Performance With Best November Sales On Record

Mitsubishi Motors in the UK recorded its best November on record with passenger cars sales totalling 1,843, an increase of 64 percent compared to November 2017. This performance has seen Mitsubishi Motors cement its position as the fastest growing mainstream brand on a year to date basis, despite a challenging UK passenger car market which is three percent down year on year.

The Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV is the UK's best-selling plug-in vehicle of 2018. In November, 801 units were sold, compared to 579 sold in November 2017, a rise of 38.3%. With improved EV and petrol-engine performance, and significantly increased efficiency, the new Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV has impressive WLTP figures of 139mpg and 46g/km, as well as a real-world EV range of 28 miles. Year to date registrations of Outlander PHEV have increased by 11% compared to the first 11 months of 2017.

2018 has been a strong year for the brand with a sales volume that has grown by 30.7% over 2017. Mitsubishi Motors in the UK also launched three new 4WD SUVs, the Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross, Shogun Sport and the new Outlander PHEV. 2018 also witnessed the global premiere of the new Mitsubishi L200 which was held recently in Thailand, and will go on sale in late summer 2019.
