Barrett-Jackson Consigns the Vault Portfolio, a Collection of 48 Vehicles Crossing the Block at Northeast, Las Vegas, Scottsdale Auctions

UNCASVILLE, CONN. – June 20, 2019 – Barrett-Jackson, The World's Greatest Collector Car Auctions, has consigned the Vault Portfolio collection, an offering of 48 collector vehicles that will cross the block at No Reserve during three Barrett-Jackson events, including the 2019 Northeast and Las Vegas Auctions, as well as the 2020 Scottsdale Auction. The first group of 14 collector vehicles from the Vault Portfolio will be sold at the 4th Annual Northeast Auction at Mohegan Sun in Connecticut, June 26-29.

'Hot rods and customs have established themselves as top collectibles over the past several years,' said Craig Jackson, chairman and CEO of Barrett-Jackson. 'The Vault Portfolio is an outstanding collection featuring some of the finest professionally built hot rods and classic customs ever created and stands as a testament to the spirit of hot-rodding. We're thrilled to kick off the sale of this incredible collection of hot rods and classics at our Northeast Auction.'

Among the professionally built hot rods from the Vault Portfolio is a 1932 Ford Model 18 (Lot #721) powered by a 383ci V8 engine, touting 425 horsepower pushed through a TREMEC 5-speed manual transmission. Other examples of impeccable modern hot rods from the collection include a Brilliant White 1937 Ford Custom (Lot # 632.1) powered by a Chevrolet 350ci V8 engine and sitting on custom Panther wheels, equipped with Wilwood disc brakes and powered by a Chevrolet Vortec 350ci V8 engine. Also on offer is a 1932 Ford Hi-Boy Custom Roadster (Lot #635.1) powered by a GM 350ci crate engine running power through a T350 transmission to the 9' Currie rear end, wearing a polished aluminum housing.

'Hot-rodding is one of the oldest examples of American car culture still thriving today,' noted Steve Davis, president of Barrett-Jackson. 'In the 1950s, a new generation challenged the status quo, using vehicles from the 1930s and 1940s as canvas to create amazing rolling pieces of art. The Vault Portfolio will give collectors the chance to own premier, show-quality examples inspired by the hot rods and customs that started a movement in the industry.'
