The Peninsula Signature Events Honored By Rancho Cielo Charity

After a long-standing partnership with the non-profit organization The Rancho Cielo Youth Campus, the bespoke events entity was formally honored on February 28, 2020 with a plaque dedicating the kitchen of the Rancho Cielo Drummond Culinary Academy in honor of Quail Lodge & Golf Club and The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering

Carmel, Calif. (February 29, 2020) – The Peninsula Signature Events was honored by Ranch Cielo, a non-profit organization that enriches the lives of at-risk youth, with a dedication plaque on February 28, 2020. Rancho Cielo named the kitchen of the Drummond Culinary Academy in honor of Quail Lodge & Golf Club and The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering.

The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering adopted Rancho Cielo as a preferred charity in 2007. Following the inception of The Quail Charitable Patron Ticket in 2016, The Quail has donated 50 percent of the proceeds from all of its Charitable Patron Ticket Sales to Rancho Cielo's programs. The Rancho Cielo Drummond Culinary Academy is one of several programs tailored to help transform the lives of youth through training and professional mentorship. The goal of the academy is to train at-risk and underserved youth, ages 16-24, in Monterey County, California in a work environment where they feel challenged, respected and accountable.

Since 2012, staff from Quail Lodge & Golf Club have joined forces with the Monterey County Hospitality Association (MCHA) to deliver, create, and implement various programs geared toward preparing the students for employment within the community. The funds contributed by The Peninsula Signature Events are a pivotal factor in creating continued opportunities for students at the Ranch. 2020 marks 10 years of graduates from the Rancho Cielo Drummond Culinary Academy. By working with an executive chef, the students learn culinary skills as well as customer service, making them employable in Monterey County's second-largest industry – hospitality.

'Year after year, we are delighted to give back to this incredible organization through our events, and we are honored that our contributions and support are being commemorated through the dedication of the kitchen at the Drummond Culinary Academy.'
