Amelia Concours : Reliable Carriers Eight Flags Road Tour
March 6, 2020 by Dan Vaughan

The landmark Silver Anniversary Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance will reunite a world class gathering of the rarest and most desirable cars, and a homecoming for many of The Amelia's previous honorees. Racing champion, team and Indianapolis Motor Speedway owner Roger Penske is The Amelia's Silver Anniversary honoree in 2020. Four classes of his cars will celebrate his unique career at the pinnacle of international motorsport.
The earliest opportunity to get a sneak peek at some of the cars scheduled to attend 'The Amelia' was the
Reliable Carriers' Eight Flags Road Tour. The tour stops at various points on and around Amelia Island and concludes with a public display and lunch in downtown Fernandina Beach. This tour is open to concours registered vehicles only.
A new location added to this year's tour was a stop at the Ribault Club, a historic building on Fort George Island near Jacksonville, Florida. The building was designed in a Colonial Revival architecture style and is credited to Maurice Fatio and Mellen Clark Greeley. The next stop on the tour was Fort Clinch State Park, located on a peninsula near the northernmost point of Amelia Island. Its 1,100 acres include the 19th-century Fort Clinch, sand dunes, plains, maritime hammock and estuarine tidal marsh. The final stop along the tour was in downtown Fernandina Beach, a city in Nassau County, Florida and the northernmost city on Florida's Atlantic coast.
Below are many of the vehicles that participated in the tour.
