While the United Kingdom has been on lockdown, SEAT has been 'physically closed, digitally open' to support existing and new customers however possible, while adhering to the government guidelines. As announced on the 25th May during the government's daily briefings, restrictions will begin to ease for sections of the retail automotive industry in England from 1st June with retailer showrooms in England being allowed to open providing certain criteria are met. In line with the guidelines, SEAT retailers have taken positive actions to enhance safety for both employees and customers surrounding physical space, digital appointments, booking of appointments, test drives, sanitation, health and hygiene, contactless sales and contactless handovers. Please contact your local retailer who can give specific details on the actions they've been able to implement and their indivial processes. Richard Harrison, Director at SEAT UK, commented: 'Our Retailers have been preparing their showrooms diligently with all the necessary social distancing measures to keep our customers and teams safe when we re-open our showrooms – as this is our top priority. Meanwhile we are already open for digital and telephone sales, with car handovers carried out in a safe 'click and collect' approach, where government guidelines permit. In both cases that means England should be fully open for business on the 1st June, just in time for the launch of the all-new 4th generation of our best selling Leon.'
