Volkswagen's Northeast Region And Its Dealers Donate Atlas Models To Technical And Trade Schools

• 10 vehicles will be donated throughout the northeast

•Donations will allow technical students to train on Volkswagen vehicles with VW ODIS software used to diagnose and update vehicles

Herndon, VA — As part of Volkswagen's Drive Bigger initiative, Volkswagen of America is announcing the Atlas donation initiative, which will donate a number of Atlas models throughout the United States. Volkswagen is joining with local dealers to donate vehicles to universities, colleges, technical and trade schools with automotive programs and will assist with developing future Volkswagen-trained technicians throughout the country.

'These vehicles will be essential in assisting the next generation of Volkswagen technicians to interact with and learn the latest technology that is part of our exciting model lineup' said John Peterson, Director of Fixed Operations.' At Volkswagen we strongly believe in investing in the next generation and with our growing model lineup, it's critical we give these young technicians the opportunity to be hands on with our vehicles to help ensure we continue to deliver a high level of customer satisfaction in the future.'

The Northeast Region will donate ten Atlas vehicles from Boston, Massachusetts to Ann Arbor, Michigan. The first event will take place in Massachusetts on September 9th and the last event will take place in Michigan in early October. In all, 34 dealers will be contributing support to nine different schools and/or training centers to help develop the future Volkswagen technician.

•SUNY Canton Automotive Technology (Canton, NY)
