Maserati MC20 Super Sports Car And Trofeo Collection Visit Locations Across North America In 'The Art Of Fast' Tour

Following the launch of the highly anticipated MC20 super sports car and the Maserati Trofeo collection, the prototypes are on the road visiting select North American dealers October through November, 2020. 'The Art of Fast' tour began in Canada, with visits to Montreal and Toronto. The prototypes are making 15 stops across the United States. Starting in New England and the New York tristate, down the east coast to Florida and across the south ending in California in November. Customers can contact a local dealer to find out if the vehicles will visit a location near you.

Maserati MC20

Maserati enters the new Era with MC20, the new super sport car that combines performance, sportiness and luxury in the unique Maserati style. MC20 was presented to the world in Modena, Italy on 9 September during the 'MMXX: Time to be audacious' event which included a physical and virtual event for consumer around the globe to view. There were simultaneous unveilings in New York, New York and Tokyo, Japan.

The new MC20 (MC for Maserati Corse and 20 for 2020, the year of its world première and the start of the Brand's new Era) is the Maserati everyone was waiting for. It is a car with incredible aerodynamic efficiency, which conceals a sporty soul, with the new Nettuno engine, a 621 horsepower V6 with torque of 730 Nm (538 lb-ft) that delivers 0-100 km/h acceleration in under 2,9 seconds (0 – 60 miles in under 2.9 seconds) and a top speed over 325 km an hour (202 miles per hour). An engine that signals Maserati's return to producing its own power units after a hiatus of more than 20 years.

The guiding theme of the MC20'S design was the Brand's historic identity, with all the elegance, performance and comfort integral to its genetic make-up. The focus on performance led to the conception of a car with a distinct personality, with unmistakable forms that render it unique. The butterfly doors are not only stunningly beautiful but also functional, as they improve the car's ergonomics and enable optimal access to and from the cabin. The MC20 is designed to enable coupé and convertible versions and for full electric power.

For the launch, Maserati has also developed six new colors to characterize MC20: Bianco Audace, Giallo Genio, Rosso Vincente, Blu Infinito, Nero Enigma and Grigio Mistero. Each color conceived, designed and developed exclusively for the MC20 to convey the important themes of a strong reference to Made in Italy, to Italian identity and to the land, as well as linked to Maserati tradition.

Vehicles are available for order. MC20 production begins at the end of 2020 for North American delivery in fall of 2021 for model year 2022.

Trofeo collection

Maserati writes a new chapter in its history by expanding its Trofeo collection to three vehicles. The new Quattroporte and Ghibli Trofeo are available, for model year 2021 achieving the pinnacle of performance, sportiness and luxury and joining the Levante Trofeo, the SUV's most extreme, most powerful version currently available for 2020 model year.

To highlight Maserati's all-Italian identity, the launch colors chosen for the Trofeo collection are those of the Italy's flag: green for Quattroporte, white for Levante and red for Ghibli, which combine with the burnished chrome-work and gloss red trims for a particularly aggressive and elegant look.

The heart of Ghibli and Quattroporte Trofeo is the 3.8L V8 Twin Turbo with power output of 580 hp at 6,750 rpm and peak torque of 538 lb-ft. The engine, which has already revealed all its power on Levante Trofeo, is built at the Ferrari plant at Maranello to Maserati's specifications, and has been modified and developed to deliver equally impressive performance on the rear-engine sedans.

Although completely new for Ghibli, the V8 engine was previously on Quattroporte GTS, in the 523 hp version. Today the 580 hp V8 engine is available on the new Ghibli, Quattroporte and Levante Trofeo, in full compliance with fuel efficiency and emissions standards.

Ghibli and Quattroporte Trofeo can proudly claim to be the fastest Maserati sedans ever, with a top speed of 326 km/h or 203 mph. Levante Trofeo's maximum speed is 302 km/h or 187 mph.

Like Levante Trofeo, the new Ghibli and Quattroporte Trofeo also incorporate the Integrated Vehicle Control (IVC) system, with a specific setup that guarantees enhanced driving dynamics, greater active safety and even more thrilling performance. The sedans have the Corsa button that sets the car for an even sportier driving style. Also included is Launch Control, a function that first appeared on Levante Trofeo, to unleash all the engine's power and deliver breath-taking performance and an authentic Maserati driving experience.

While the unique signature of every Maserati is the sound of its engine, now the Trofeo collection will be unmistakable in its looks, thanks to stylistic touches that characterize these high performance models. These include the front grille with twin vertical bars in Black Piano finish, and the introduction of carbon fiber on the front air duct trims and rear extractor, for an even more aggressive effect. The whole Trofeo collection is distinguished by the red details that characterize the bottom profiles of the side air vents and the arrow on the Trident badge on the C-pillars. There are major changes at the rear of the car, where the light clusters have been completely restyled, with a boomerang-like profile inspired by the 3200 GT and the Alfieri concept car.

The Trofeo collection is currently in production with model year 2021 vehicles arriving in North America in November 2020.
