Milton Keynes, UK – Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles has landed a new fleet deal with 15 ABT e-Transporter vans delivered to aviation detailing business, Up & Away. The all-electric fleet will be used by the team to transport equipment to and from airports across the UK.

Up & Away Aviation Detailing serves the UK's private aircraft industry by offering a full range of interior and exterior valeting, and detailing services. The company has grown considerably since it was founded in 2006, and now operates a full team of operatives and staff at airports across the UK and Europe.

The new fleet of all-electric ABT e-Transporters features a bespoke livery and is converted with a tailored racking solution to store equipment securely in the vans.

The all-electric vans were chosen due to the premium brand alignment between Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles and Up & Away. Additionally, Up & Away counts efficiency and sustainability as key business priorities, with the ABT e-Transporters helping it reach its carbon neutral targets.

The ABT e-Transporter was developed in collaboration with Premium Partner ABT e-Line, combining quiet and smooth driving, instant torque, fast charging, and high load capacity. The model offers an all-electric range of up to 82 miles, with cargo space of 6.7m3. Flexible charging options allow for 80% charge in just 45 minutes.

Although production of the ABT e-Transporter has now stopped, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles has a range of competitive finance offers on remaining stock (0% APR*). These include a free Pod Point wall charger, worth £899, with any ABT e-Transporter purchased between 1 October 2021 and 3 January 2022 as well as a competitive contract hire rate of £189 per month** on the ABT e-Transporter panel van and £199** per month on the ABT e-Transporter panel van Advance. In addition to this, the brand is offering zero per cent APR finance on Solutions Personal Contract Plan, hire purchase and lease purchase finance options, all with a £3,000 deposit contribution.*
