SsangYong's flagship Rexton has been voted 4x4 of the Year at the Scottish Car of the Year (SCOTY) awards ceremony. Regarded as a highlight of the automotive calendar across the UK and beyond, the hotly contested event took place at the Dalmahoy Hotel near Edinburgh last night.

An authentic 4x4, the new car is powered by a 2.2 litre turbo Euro 6 diesel engine delivering maximum power of 202PS and maximum torque of 441Nm, with an 8-speed automatic transmission and features a 3.5 tonne towing capacity.
