Hyundai's all-electric IONIQ 5 has received the Autotrader Best New Cars for 2022 accolade. The IONIQ 5 is one of only 12 vehicles, including cars, trucks, and SUVs, to receive this important award. The experts at Autotrader examined more than 300 models, ultimately narrowing them down to a list of 12 new vehicles that are a 'cut above the rest.'

The Best New Cars for 2022 is comprised of 12 vehicles selected by a team of experts at Autotrader, who collectively tested and ranked new models using a range of criteria. The editors focused on models that would be available for purchase within the next nine months and included vehicles they think offer significant value or groundbreaking technology.
