Apprentices choose LEVC to shape their future•LEVC celebrates National Apprenticeship Week in the UK from 7-13 February 2022

LEVC (London Electric Vehicle Company) this week marks National Apprenticeship Week in the UK by celebrating two of the company's current apprentices.

Apprentices Elly Bowes and Kieran Connolly were recently interviewed to share their valuable insight into the programme, explaining why LEVC has helped launched their careers in the automotive industry.

LEVC currently has two openings for Level 6 Engineering Apprenticeships in Product Design and Development Engineering. To find out how to apply to the scheme, click here. LEVC offers engineering apprentices the opportunity to complete Level 6 in Product and Design Development over a 5-Year Apprenticeship Development Programme.

LEVC's state-of-the-art facility in Coventry allows apprentices to complete schemes in engineering, commercial, quality, and manufacturing. Offering variety, support and progression, LEVC is proud to support Apprenticeship Week with the company's extensive and rewarding apprenticeship schemes.

Manufacturing Engineering Technician Apprentice, Elly Bowes, said: 'My highlights are getting Apprentice of the Year and meeting Prince Charles. LEVC is very supportive, not just in a work environment but in a personal environment too. I really love working here.'

Mechatronics Maintenance Engineering Apprentice, Kieran Connolly, said: 'I really wanted to pursue a career in engineering and thought that LEVC was the perfect opportunity for me to do that.'

Head of Engineering, Paul Bostock, said: 'The programme is designed to provide a first-class academic experience and also to provide experiences across the organisation including the Engineering departments but also covering departments such as Commercial, Quality, and Manufacturing. This really is an unrestricted environment with the apprentice centre.'

Directory of Human Resources, Sarah Weston, said: 'Individual impact at LEVC will be recognised, you're not just a cog in a wheel, you will be able to really make a difference and see the difference you made.'

Learning and Talent Manager, Jonathan Stanford, commented: 'We have a range of different ways which we support individuals from apprentices to graduates.'
