April 5, 2022 by PeugeotPEUGEOT has increased its UK new car market share from 3.7% in Q1 2021 to 4% in Q2 2022, according to the latest registration figures released by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT). PEUGEOT's Low Emission Vehicle (LEV) mix also grew from 16.8% to 20.9% versus Q1 2021. PEUGEOT has a strong LEV portfolio, now offering an electrified variant of almost all passenger cars in the range, including the fully electric e-208, e-2008 and e-Rifter, and the 3008 HYBRID, 508 and 508 SW HYBRID. The 508 PEUGEOT SPORT ENGINEERED performance hybrid also joined the line-up in 2020, the result of a collaboration between the PEUGEOT Sport and PEUGEOT design teams. PEUGEOT's passenger car range will be further strengthened this year with the addition of the highly anticipated new 308 and new 308 SW, which will first be launched with petrol, diesel and plug-in hybrid powertrains, followed by a fully electric model in 2023. Ahead of launch, both models have received an extremely positive response from media and industry experts, praised for their striking design, array of technology and versatility. Julie David, Managing Director, PEUGEOT UK, said: 'Our continued growth in the passenger cars sector is testament not only to our stellar product line-up and our versatile powertrain offering, but also the work going on within our teams behind the scenes. I am confident that with the addition of the new 308 and 308 SW in the coming months, PEUGEOT will continue to go from strength to strength in 2022.' Ends
