Mecum Tulsa 2022 to Feature 1,000 Classic and Collector Cars at Auction June 9-11

SageNet Center to Host Return of World's Largest Collector Car Auction Company
WALWORTH, Wis. – Mecum Auctions, the world's largest classic and collector car auction company, will return to SageNet Center at Expo Square in Tulsa, Oklahoma, with 1,000 American muscle cars, classics, Corvettes, trucks, Hot Rods, customs and more this June 9-11.
The first-ever Mecum Tulsa auction, held in June of last year, resulted in $22.1 million overall with a trio of Ford GTs achieving placement as the top three highest-dollar sales, led by a 2006 model that brought $330,000.
Mecum Tulsa 2022 is slated to present another round of enticing classic and collector car options headlined by The Tommy Cronk Collection of seven lots, which are highlighted by a 1965 Mercury Comet A/FX Lightweight (Lot S145) that is No. 7 of eight A/FX Mercury Comet lightweight drag racing cars built by Bill Stroppe and Associates.
The Father and Son Perham Collection will present 25 eclectic favorites. Among the lots is a nicely restored 1964 Ford Galaxie 500 Convertible (Lot F6) powered by a 390 CI V-8 engine and automatic transmission, and dressed in a blue exterior and white convertible top, a 1964 Chevrolet Corvair Convertible (Lot F8) with a 164 CI flat 6-cylinder engine and 4-speed manual transmission, and a 1957 Mercury Custom (Lot F23) boasting a red exterior with flames and Heatwave graphics and coming to Tulsa with less than 800 miles on its rebuilt 368 CI Turnpike Cruiser V-8 engine.
Other noted consignments for Mecum Tulsa 2022 include a 1977 Pontiac Trans Am SE (Lot S121) that is one of 2,699 produced and has a matching-numbers W72 400 CI engine and matching-numbers 4-speed manual transmission, and a 1965 Shelby Cobra CSX4000 Series Roadster (Lot S124) that is No. 29 of the 40th Anniversary Editions offered and one of only five wearing a handcrafted, polished aluminum body. The latter is powered by an all-aluminum Shelby 427 FE stroker V-8 engine capable of 535 HP and 545 lb-ft of torque, backed by a Toploader 4-speed manual transmission.
