Hyundai Canada posts August 2022 sales, sees continued momentum for electrified models

•Hyundai reports 9,901 deliveries in August, a year-over-year decrease of 16.4 per cent.
•August sales pushed total IONIQ 5 deliveries past the 4,200-mark1 since its market launch in December of 2021 •Total sales for electrified models in August – 2,144
•The Elantra is Hyundai Canada's top-seller for the month with 2,792 units sold.
Today, Hyundai Auto Canada Corp. reported total August sales of 9,901 units, a decrease of 16.4 per cent compared to August 2021. Hyundai's top three best-selling models were the Elantra (2,792 units), Kona (1,950 units) and Tucson (1,726 units).
The following models posted YoY gains: Elantra (17.6%), Venue (14.4%) and Tucson HEV (47.4%).

Hyundai's electrified fleet showed strong sales with 2,144 units, representing 21.6 per cent of August sales volume. The award-winning Tucson is the nameplate with the most electrified sales with 826 units sold. Hybrid sales tallied 662 units, while the plug-in recorded sales of 164 units. The Kona Electric follows with 767 deliveries in August. Rounding out the top three is the Elantra HEV, which recorded 220 deliveries in August.
