Bruno Angles, Managing Director of AG2R LA MONDIALE, Vincent Cobée, Managing Director of CITROËN and Vincent Lavenu, General Manager of the cycling team, unveiled the roster of AG2R CITROËN TEAM 2023 (January the 23th). In the presence of Benoît Cosnefroy, Aurélien Paret-Peintre, Bastien Tronchon and Greg Van Avermaet, they announced the team's ambitions for this new season which will be committed to the collective, youth, and combativity.

Bruno Angles: 'We won't give up!'

Bruno Angles, Managing Director of AG2R LA MONDIALE: 'We are very proud of the AG2R CITROËN TEAM and have every confidence in it to offer us magnificent victories in 2023 and to be in the top 10 in the World Tour classification! This season will also focus on the theme of youth with 12 riders under 25 including three new recruits from the training center, which has nurtured many talents. They will bring, I am sure, a lot of enthusiasm, strength and brilliance. We will always be behind them to encourage them every step of the way. Together we are stronger, and we won't give up!'

Vincent Cobée:

'The team shows unfailing solidarity'

Vincent Cobée, Managing Director of CITROËN:
'2022 was a year full of ups and downs. What I remember is above all the team spirit and brotherhood that motivate our riders. The dynamic between them and their understanding make me convinced that this year again, our riders will have brilliant performances in the biggest races on the calendar.

I am very confident about the potential of the team and its ability to win great victories. The team is already very close-knit and shows unfailing solidarity.

This season, I expect to see even more fighting spirit and resilience from the riders during the various events. I hope to see the team shine in even more races than last year.'

Vincent Lavenu:

'Finish among the ten best teams in the world'

Vincent Lavenu, General Manager of AG2R CITROËN TEAM: 'We are coming out of a 2022 season which has been special since our team has often been unlucky: several second places, many riders' crashes and the Covid-19 epidemic. But we never gave up. These values of combativeness, dear to our collective, have enabled us to achieve great successes, such as our stage victory in the Tour de France and victory at the Grand Prix Cycliste de Québec.

In 2023, we want to do a very good Tour de France with the aim of winning a stage and being in a good position in the general classification. It will also be important to focus on our number of victories, so we hope to obtain between 15 and 20. We want to finish among the ten best teams in the world. And why not also aim to win a Monument? We dream of it all the more since we have been very close several times in recent years.'
