• World's Longest Continuously Running Concours Featured 200 Collector Cars

An exquisite 1929 Duesenberg Model J earned 'Best of Show - Elegance' honors at the 67th annual Hillsborough Concours d'Elegance, while an extremely rare 1955 O.S.C.A. Sports Racing Special claimed the event's inaugural 'Best of Show Sport' award during festivities held Sunday at Crystal Springs Golf Course.

Showcasing excellence in automotive design and engineering, the event--the world's longest continuously running concours--was highlighted by the display of more than 200 treasured vintage and classic cars and motorcycles.

'Best of Show' was one of four awards presented to the owners of the Duesenberg, Valerie and Aaron Weiss of San Marino, California. The elegant luxury convertible took top honors in the 'CCCA Approved Classics' class while also winning the 'Elwood Hansen Award—Best Open Pre-WWII Car,' as well as the 'Owner's Choice Award,' which tallies votes from owners of all vehicles judged on Sunday.

Owned by Phil White of Portola Valley, California, the O.S.C.A. also claimed top honors in the 'Vintage Racecars' class, as well as the Strother MacMinn Design Award, which is presented to the car that features the most inspirational design elements of its era.

The 2023 Hillsborough Concours d 'Elegance paid tribute to the collector car world's most exceptional sports cars with special displays honoring the 75th anniversary of Jaguar sports cars, as well as the 100th anniversary of MG sports cars.

'In keeping with our 'Year of the Sportscar' theme, this 67th annual Concours featured an extensive selection of popular models from the international automotive world's most legendary marques,' said Hillsborough Concours d 'Elegance Chairman Glen Egan. 'This was complemented by an extensive selection of pristine motorcars handpicked specifically for Hillsborough. We thank all of our entrants for joining us.'

The Concours capped a memorable weekend of festivities that started on Friday with the annually sold-out 'Start Your Engines' kick-off reception. That was followed by Saturday's Hillsborough Tour d'Elegance, as 80 stunning collector cars traversed challenging Bay Area back roads and scenic vistas led by police escort.

The Concours featured 20 judged classes of 'Automobiles of Distinction,' including American Pre- and Post-War, CCCA Approved Classics, American Muscle Cars, American Sporting Cars Through 1987, Vintage Motorcycles, two Ferrari classes, two imported sports car classes, Japanese cars, a preservation class, two Rolls-Royce and Bentley classes, imported passenger and touring cars, vintage race cars and arcane and rare cars.

Partnering with the Town of Hillsborough, the all-volunteer Hillsborough Concours Foundation organizes this annual sell-out event and raises proceeds for Ability Path, The Guardsmen, and the Hillsborough Schools Foundation.

Title sponsors included Franklin Templeton Investments and Fiduciary Trust International, and Kerns Fine Jewelry, Putnam Automotive Group, and Hagerty.
