by Mecum | September 13, 2023
World's Largest Collector Car Auction® will Return to Florida this January 2-14
With a projected 4,000 vehicle consignments expected in total, Mecum Kissimmee 2024 will continue to honor its official designation as The World's Largest Collector Car Auction®, offering a broad selection of American muscle cars, classics, Corvettes, exotics, trucks, Hot Rods, customs and more with live coverage on MotorTrendTV and MotorTrend+.
Mecum Kissimmee 2023 achieved a record $234 million in sales to become the first-ever live collector car auction to exceed $200 million in consecutive years after the 2022 auction saw totals reach $217 million, and comparative results are expected again this year.
The auction lineup for Kissimmee 2024 is already flush with top-shelf offerings, including the trio of Chevrolet Corvettes from Dr. Mark Davis comprising an unrestored and award-winning 1962 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible showing just 12,014 miles, a 1967 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe in silver that is the only 1967 Corvette to win the All-Time Preservation Award from the Historical Vehicle Association of America (HVA), and an unrestored and award-winning 1969 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe showing just 11,050 miles.
The 25 lots that compose The Kevin Sergent Mopar & Wing Car Collection together form one of the finest groupings of its kind. Hemi-equipped rarities, Cudas, Road Runners, Chargers, Challengers and more make up this fleet of vintage performance vehicles, with highlights including an extremely well-documented 1970 Plymouth Hemi Cuda and a rare Moulin Rouge-over-white 1970 Plymouth Superbird, as well as a 440 CI V-8-equipped 1969 Dodge Daytona, to name just a few.

The Ultimately Preserved Corvettes from the Collection of Dr. Mark Davis, The Kevin Sergent Mopar & Wing Car Collection, and the only Rally Red-on-red 1967 Chevrolet Corvette L88 Coupe known to exist headline the early consignments headed to Mecum Kissimmee 2024, which will take place this January 2-14 at Osceola Heritage Park in Kissimmee, Florida.
The auction-headlining 1967 Chevrolet Corvette L88 is one of just 20 L88s produced for the 1967 model year, and it boats Bloomington Gold Certification and Bloomington Gold Special Collection recognition in 2001. Also in 2001, the L88 was awarded the NCRS Duntov Mark of Excellence and NCRS National Top Flight with a score of 98.4. Its 427/430 HP L88 V-8 engine features a 4-barrel carburetor, 12.5:1 compression and a high-lift cam, all backed by a Muncie M22 4-speed manual transmission.
