Mecum's Indy Fall Special 2023 Auction Reaches $19.5 Million in Sales567 Vehicles Hammer Sold at Inaugural Fall Special Collector Car Auction

Mecum's exceptional success with its annual Spring Classic collector car auction held each May in Indianapolis inspired the company to introduce a fall-season iteration to further meet customer demand and fan enthusiasm. This first Indy Fall Special auction achieved a total of $19.5 million in total overall sales as 567 vehicles hammered sold in just three days, Oct. 5-7.

Top sales at the auction were led by a 1967 Shelby GT500 Fastback (Lot S99) that sold for $275,000, followed by other American all-stars like a 2019 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 Convertible (Lot S89) that brought $214,500, a 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon Custom (Lot S196) that sold for $176,000 and a 1969 Pontiac Trans Am (Lot S108) that achieved $162,250.

A handful of private collections were offered for sale at the Fall Special auction, with the all-Ford Burbach Collection reaching an aggregate $2.07 million in sales and the 15-car Joel Hipp Collection selling in its entirety and bringing $1.09 million overall.

6.2023 Dodge Charger King Daytona (Lot F138.1) at $154,000
