•81st Members' Meeting takes place Saturday 13 & Sunday 14 April 2024.

•Early bird tickets available to Members and Fellows of the Goodwood Road Racing Club at goodwood.com before Sunday 31 December.

Goodwood is excited to announce the four new House Captains for the Members' Meeting presented by Audrain Motorsport.

The 81st Members' Meeting will see a change of guard in the annual competition to win the House Shield. Fiercely competitive on the track and equally keen to win the House Shield away from the racing, the new House Captains are World Touring Car Champion Andy Priaulx (Aubigny), nine-time Le Mans winner Tom Kristensen (Darnley), three-time British Touring Car Champion Gordon Shedden (Methuen) and IndyCar Champion Dario Franchitti (Torbolton).

Frequent competitors at Goodwood's headline motorsport events, Andy Priaulx won the RAC TT Celebration at this year's Revival, and placed second in the Gerry Marshall Trophy at the 80th Members' Meeting, with fellow new House Captain Gordon Shedden coming home in third place. Tom Kristensen and Dario Franchitti have also taken to the historic Circuit over the years, with Kristensen coming third in the St Mary's Trophy at the 2023 Revival. Involved both on and off the track, Franchitti unveiled Gordon Murray Automotive's T.33 Spider at the 80th Members' Meeting, alongside Professor Gordon Murray and The Duke of Richmond.

A firm favourite amongst visitors, the House Games have become a mainstay of the modern Members' Meeting. Taking place around the event – and not confined to the track – the Goodwood Road Racing Club's Members and Fellows each belong to one of four houses. The houses – whose titles all relate back to the Estate – are Aubigny, descending from The Duke of Richmond's French title 'The Duke of Aubigny', Darnley and Metheun, both of which originate from The Duke of Richmond's Scottish titles and Torbolton, deriving from 'Baron Methuen of Torbolton'. Members and Fellows can take part in activities such as croquet, sheep herding and the hotly-contested Tug of War, to win points for their houses, with the winning house taking home the Shield at the end of the weekend, the off-track festivities become equally as competitive as the racing.

At the 80th Members' Meeting this year, the House Games saw Darnley take home the trophy with 21,268 winning points – as championed by former House Captain Jochen Mass. Our previous House Captains – British GT Champion Anthony Reid (Methuen), 5-time Le Mans winner Emanuele Pirro (Torbolton), former Formula 1 driver and 24 Hours Le Mans winner Jochen Mass (Darnley) and ASCAR Racing Series winner Nicolas Minassian (Aubigny) – have championed their respective houses since the inception of the modern Members' Meeting in 2014. Thanked by The Duke of Richmond at the 80th Members' Meeting prizegiving, Goodwood has been delighted to have such incredible House Captains bringing together our Members and Fellows for the past decade.

With 2024 marking ten years since Goodwood revived the Members' Meeting, the 81st gathering makes for the perfect occasion to see the handover of the House Captaincies. More information on the House Shield and Games on offer at Members' Meeting next year can be found on our website here.

Andy Priaulx, World Touring Car Champion and new House Captain of Aubigny, said: 'Of course, I hope Aubigny can win the House Shield, but first and foremost it's an honour to be chosen as a House Captain at the Members' Meeting. We are all racing drivers, so we want to win, but we're there for the Club members and we want to have some fun.'

Gordon Shedden, British Touring Car Champion and new House Captain of Methuen, said: 'Methuen has won the Shield more times than any other House so that's a big act to follow, but it's also fun because the Members' Meeting is such a great event and it's good to get involved as a Captain alongside the racing.'

Dario Franchitti, IndyCar Champion, Indy500 winner and new House Captain of Torbolton, said: 'I'm really enjoying my historic racing, especially at the Revival and Members' Meeting. This year I have the extra challenge of motivating the Torbolton team in all the fun and games. Winning the Shield would be good, but just getting involved as a House Captain is an honour in itself.'

Tom Kristensen, nine-time Le Mans winner and new House Captain of Darnley, said: 'It's a pleasure to be chosen to lead Darnley at the Members' Meeting. I think I speak for all the new House Captains when I say that we're looking forward not only to going to head-to-head on the track, but also encouraging our houses to victory in the House Shield competition.'

The new House Captains will join Members and Fellows at the 81st Members' Meeting presented by Audrain Motorsport for a thrilling weekend of timeless racing, demonstrations, competitive House Games and off-track festivities.
