BYD, the world's leading manufacturer of new energy vehicles, announces that it will be a sponsor of the BVRLA Annual Dinner in London. The prestigious black-tie event for the UK rental, leasing and fleet management sector, takes place on 7th March 2024 at London Hilton, Park Lane. It is the first time that BYD has sponsored the BVRLA Dinner and supports the automaker's commitment to evolving the brand in the UK.

As a sponsor of this highlight event in the fleet industry calendar, BYD drives greater awareness of its diverse range of eco-friendly electric vehicles for the rental, leasing and fleet management market, with a dedicated fleet team in the UK providing localised product and service support.

BYD is a brand that enjoys global recognition for its pioneering innovation in EV technologies, with products that span electric buses, trucks, vans, taxis and passenger cars. These products stem from BYD's long 29-year heritage in power battery development and its dedication to innovation in sustainable technology. This expertise, together with exceptional manufacturing resources, has been pivotal to BYD innovating eMobility around the world, achieving No.1 ranking for global sales of new energy vehicles.

BYD introduced a debut range of pure-electric cars to UK consumers in 2023, including the BYD ATTO 3, the BYD DOLPHIN and the BYD SEAL, providing options in a variety of segments, with high levels of standard specification. BYD is driven by a determination to make electric mobility more accessible, providing appealing and practical choices for business customers and private consumers, supported by local dealer networks.

The BVRLA Annual Dinner brings together over 800 BVRLA member contacts and senior industry stakeholders, in an evening that includes the presentation of Industry Hero Awards and the Freddie Aldous Outstanding Contribution Award with entertainment from stand-up comedian, Geoff Norcott. The event will be helping to raise money for the automotive industry charity, Ben, recognising the often lifesaving support the charity gives to people who work, or have worked, in the automotive sector.
