Hyundai Canada reports July sales, and a new monthly sales record for the IONIQ 5

Hyundai Auto Canada Corp. reported total July sales of 11,301 units, a year-over-year increase of 13 per cent. The KONA (2,341 units), ELANTRA (2,075 units) and TUCSON (1,850 units) continue to dominate as the three best-selling Hyundai models. The KONA has been Hyundai Auto Canada's top-selling vehicle for seven consecutive months, correlating with the market arrival of the latest generation for both ICE and Electric variants.
Hyundai's electrified fleet continued to show positive momentum in July with 3,836 units sold, representing just under 34 per cent of the total July sales volume. This includes pure electric, hybrid and plug-in hybrid models. The 2022 WCOTY winner, IONIQ 5 had another strong month with a record 1,218 sales, a YoY increase of 107.5 per cent. Hyundai's other two fully-electric vehicles, the Kona Electric and IONIQ 6, posted year-over-year double digit increases.
