Volkswagen ID. Buzz 7-Seat crowned 'MPV of the Year' at 2024 Top Gear Awards

Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles' ID. Buzz 7-Seat has been voted 'MPV of the Year' at the 2024 Top Gear Awards.

Joining the all-electric ID. Buzz line-up earlier this year, the 7-Seat variant was commended for its spaciousness and flexibility which, when combined, deliver unrivalled family-friendly practicality.

At almost five metres long, the ID. Buzz 7-Seat offers a longer wheelbase for increased luggage capacity, a standard seven-seat layout, and a bigger 86kWh battery for greater range.

With six-seat configurations also available, and a completely removable third row, the additional space allows up to 2,469 litres of carrying capacity1, providing the versatility required for any adventure.

Announced at the annual Top Gear Awards, which took place in London last night, the awards were judged by Top Gear's expert panel of editors.

Commenting on the ID. Buzz 7-Seat, Jack Rix, Editor-in-Chief at Top Gear, said: 'The ID. Buzz doesn't just look like an MPV, it acts like one too. The 7-seat is the vehicle the original 5-seat version always should have been. It's longer - with more seats and a bigger boot - has a bigger battery, more power and only costs around £500 more. We could have called this award No-Brainer of the Year.'
