• New Renault Master named the overall 'Van of the Year' at the What Van? Awards 2025
• Fourth-generation Master also won the 'Large Van of the Year' award, impressing the judging panel with its design and versatile multi-energy platform
The New Renault Master has been reaffirmed as the best new van on the market after winning the overall 'Van of the Year' title at the What Van? Awards 2024.
In addition, the fourth-generation Master complemented winning the most prestigious What Van? manufacturer accolade by taking the number one spot in the 'Large Van of the Year' category.
As well as receiving the duo of highly sought-after awards, the attending Renault UK LCV team were also congratulated on the International Van of the Year title that was awarded to the New Master earlier this year. This award was determined by a comprehensive judging panel of industry experts and journalists representing 25 countries, which included members of the experienced What Van? team.
On the renowned website and magazine's reasons for awarding the New Renault Master, James Dallas, Editor of What Van?, said: 'Renault has upped its game with the new Master, which has raised the bar for efficiency, practicality and refinement. This outstanding large van has enjoyed a stellar year, being crowned International Van of the Year and now winning the overall What Van? Van of the Year Award.'
Referencing the New Master's success in the Awards' large van category, he added: 'Built on a multi-energy platform the well-designed new Renault Master is now a serious player in the large van sector.'
Adam Wood, Managing Director and Country Head Renault Group UK, said: 'These awards prove that our latest Renault Master is stronger and more capable than ever. With a choice of powertrains – including 100% electric – New Master is cited consistently by industry experts as the new benchmark in a highly competitive sector.'
The New Renault Master is designed to go further, carry more and cost less, delivering enhanced efficiency, plus increased usability, space and comfort. It is available in a range of versions designed to meet the needs of a wide array of business users. Spanning load spaces of 11 to 14.8 cubic metres, with a 40mm wider opening at the sliding side door and 100mm longer load, the New Master's greater payload capacity and volume redefine convenience in its class.
The pure electric version – the New Master E-Tech 100% electric – is powered by a 105kW/300Nm motor and an 87kWh battery that provides a WLTP range of up to 285 miles – a 20% improvement on the previous model. A 130kW DC fast charge adds 142 miles of range in just 30 minutes, while a 22kW AC charger tops up the battery from 10% to 100% in just under four hours.
The New Renault Master is available from £33,500 plus VAT or £37,500 plus VAT after PiVG for the E-Tech 100% electric versions.
