Hyundai Continues Winning Streak with Victory at Sebring

Hyundai Motor America and Bryan Herta Autosport (BHA) continued their winning momentum in the 2025 IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge (IMPC) season, securing victory at the Alan Jay Automotive 120 at Sebring International Raceway. The No. 98 Hyundai Elantra N TCR, driven by Mason Filippi and Harry Gottsacker, claimed first place following post-race technical inspections, delivering Hyundai its second consecutive win of the season.

The race began with Hyundai locking out the front row, as the No. 33 started on pole and the No. 98 in second. Early on, both cars faced fierce competition at the front of the field, with the No. 98 dropping from second to fourth and the No. 33 briefly losing the lead. A drive-through penalty for the No. 76 Elantra N TCR, driven by Denis Dupont and Preston Brown, following contact with the No. 9 car of Madison Aust and Suellio Almeida, further shuffled Hyundai's positioning in the early stages.

Despite early challenges, Hyundai Motor America demonstrated resilience. The No. 33 fought back to reclaim the lead just past the halfway mark. Meanwhile, the No. 98 executed a flawless strategy, positioning itself in contention as the race neared its closing laps.

With just one lap remaining, the No. 99 Victor Gonzalez Racing Team Hyundai ran out of fuel, causing multiple Hyundai entries to shuffle positions. When the checkered flag waved, Hyundai initially celebrated a 1-2 finish with the No. 33 and No. 98 leading the field. However, a post-race technical infraction led to the No. 33 car's disqualification, promoting the No. 98 to the official race winner.

With this result, Hyundai extends its podium streak at Sebring to six consecutive seasons, reinforcing its reputation as a commanding force in IMSA's TCR category. Hyundai also moves into the lead of the 2025 IMPC Manufacturers' Championship, building on its landmark victory at Daytona.
