Accessories and clothing for DTM fans The DTM - the most popular touring car series - has been around for 30 years now. Mercedes-Benz has been a regular name on the winners' podium for almost as long. Since it officially took up an involvement in the DTM in 1988, Mercedes-Benz has won more championships than any other manufacturer. The new DTM season will get underway at the Hockenheimring on the 4th May. Fans can show their loyalty to the brand with the new DTM Cap (€ 23.90). A striking feature of the silver-coloured cap, which can be adjusted to fit all sizes, is the all-round insert in carbon-fibre look. Mesh inserts on the sides provide for ideal ventilation. Other DTM articles in the Motorsports Collection 2014 include the DTM Polo Shirt (€ 49.90; sizes S-XXL) in 100 percent cotton piqué and the DTM Lanyard (€ 14.90). Accessories and clothing for Heritage fans In 2014 Mercedes-Benz celebrates '120 Years of Motorsport'. Since its founding in 1886, the automobile's performance potential and reliability have been put to the test time and time again in countless competitions. Right from the very early days, vehicles from Daimler and Benz were taking part in all notable events in Europe as well as in other countries around the world. In 1894 the winning vehicles in the Paris–Rouen and Paris–Bordeaux–Paris races owed their success to the 'Système Daimler' two-cylinder engine. New items among the Motorsport Accessories for fans of Mercedes-Benz's motorsport history include the Cap in 100 percent cotton (€ 23.90). The bill is chequered underneath and sports embroidered laurels on top. A stitch featuring the historical Mercedes lettering adorns the rear. The men's cap comes in grey with green details. The women's model additionally boasts rhinestones and comes in white with green details. There is a choice of three Polo Shirts in 100 percent cotton piqué. All feature an all-over print on front and back, glazed yarn embroidery on the front and the sleeves and a hem with two-layer effect in PETRONAS green. The half-sleeve polo shirt for men in graphite costs € 99.90. The long-armed version (€ 119.90) comes in black. Both are available in size S to XXL. The short-armed polo shirt for women is white (€ 89.90; XS-XL). Also new to the 2014 Collection is the set of 2 Espresso Cups (€ 34.90), produced for Mercedes-Benz by Ritzenhoff. The black & white porcelain cups are adorned with print depicting historical motorsport motifs from the Silver Arrows' 1914 triple victory in Lyon and the 1954 double victory in Reims. The same motifs also feature on the new Coaster Set (€ 49.90). The four coasters come in matt pickled and anodised aluminium and measure 10 x 10 cm. 1 All prices: recommended retail price in Germany, incl. 19% VAT
