Records indicate that by 1957, the original body was beyond repair and that by 1968 a new body had been fitted in Australia, although this was not to the original pattern.
The car returned to England in 1984 and was purchased by the well-known northern enthusiast WK (Bill) Hancock who promptly removed the incorrect body and commissioned a new body to the original design, undertaking a complete mechanical restoration at the same time.
Since completion, the car has been used extensively on tours both in Europe and the USA. Due to advancing years, Mr. Hancock sold the car to Richard Procter and his son Jonathan in late 2003.
