This chassis #2092 with brass fittings went on test at Rolls-Royce on August 30, 1912. The current owner acquired the car in 2001 in an unrestored condition without a body. It still had its original British front registration plate, R-1472, which was applied at the factory and that number was painted on the fuel tank which was the normal procedure.
The car was shipped to England for restoration. The first body was long gone. An unrestored Arthur Mulliner body #7387, also with brass fittings, was available. It had originally been fitted to a 1911 Silver Ghost chassis #1653 which no longer existed.
This car is fully fitted with Louis Vuitton accessories as well as a complete tool box, running board trunk, spare tire and rear trunks.
It is believed to have traveled less than 10,000 miles before restoration and has been driven over 35,000 miles since restoration in both the U.S. and Europe.

This Rolls Royce silver Ghost was built on August 30th, 1912 and was sold to T. Bell White, Esquire, Alderbourne Manor, Gerrards Cross, Buckinghamshire. Mr. White took delivery on September 5th of the same year. The chassis was sent to Barker & Company on October 15, 1912 to be outfitted with a custom built seven passenger cabriolet body. In 1924 the original coachwork was updated and received modifications.
In 2000 the chassis 2092 was acquired by Newman, a well known Rolls-Royce collector. Arthur Mulliner body number 7387 was acquired and fitted to the chassis. A complete restoration followed, with Coldwell Engineering performing the restoration on the engine.By Daniel Vaughan | Mar 2018
