1907 Stevens Duryea Model U Little Six Touring

The Stevens-Duryea company produced its first car, a two-cylinder 5-horsepower runabout, in 1901. After his Duryea motor Wagon won America's first trophy race in 1895, frank Duryea joined forces with Frank Stevens, and they created the Stevens-Duryea. The company was the first to offer a six-cylinder car in 1906, and its products were considered to be of the highest quality.

The 1907 Stevens-Duryea Model U 'Little Six' Touring car six-cylinder car had a 114-inch wheelbase and sold for $3,500. The following year, a limousine body style was added alongside the Touring car.

In 1910, after building many different models, the company introduced the Model AA Tourer, featuring a six-cylinder 35-horsepower engine. Stevens-Duryea advertising from the period boasted 'the maximum of power efficiency with the minimum of friction and strain.'

An estimated 14,000 six-cylinder cars were manufactured before production ceased in 1915.
