1931 Rolls-Royce Phantom II Navigation
Henry Royce met Charles Rolls in 1904 shortly after Royce built his first motor car. Rolls owned a motorcar dealership and began purchasing cars from Royce. They soon decided to join forces and established a factory in the English town of Derby. The decision to locate in Derby was based on the cheap electricity available there. The Silver Ghost was introduced in 1925 and established Rolls-Royce as a premium marquee.
The Phantom II was introduced in 1925 and featured a 7.7 liter inline six-cylinder engine. This was bolted directly to a four-speed manual transmission which featured synchromesh on gears three and four.
A unique feature of this car is the placement of the vanity mirrors. There is one on each side of the rear seat and illuminate when the doors are opened. The right side rear seat armrest has a button for alerting the driver.
