1997 Porsche 911 Coupe

The fourth generation 911, the 993 is the last of the air-cooled 911s, and it represents another major redesign. The Targa body style is unique with an electric glass sliding roof. Only 567 were built in 1997 in North America. The front section is lower-slung than on the earlier models, made possible by a switch from round to polyellipsoid headlights. The engine is a 3.6-liter air-cooled flat-6 and it produces 285 horsepower. The 993 also introduced the six-speed manual transmission as standard to the 911 range.

This 993 is painted in Arctic Silver with the optional Classic Gray Supple Leather Interior. The car was found in Texas in 2003 with just less than 14,000 miles. After it passed an initial PPI inspection at a local Porsche dealer, it was driven back to Michigan over 1,500. The car came from the factory with the Advanced Technic option which included an aluminum and Dark Burr Maple wood grain gearshift and handbrake, as well as the steering wheel which is a split leather and wood grain style. A Porsche Factory Certificate of Authenticity (COA) was obtained in 2009 which listed all options and OEM equipment right down to the Pirelli Tires which were delivered with the car when new. The COA also showed the original sticker price was $79,225 back in 1997.

After 10 years of ownership, the car has just over 46,000 miles.
