1972 Lamborghini Jarama Navigation
As the American safety and emissions regulations continued to increase, it became necessary for Lamborghini to replace the Islero Coupe. By this point in history, Gianpaolo Dallara had departed Sant'Agata, so the duties of creating a replacement fell to his former assistant and now chief engineer, Paolo Stanzini. Stanzini shortened the Espada's chassis by 10.7 inches while keeping everything else intact. It was given angular styling by Bertone's Marcello Gandini, with NACA hood ducts, unique hooded headlamps, 2+2 interior, and flared wheel arches.

The Jarama was a larger car than the Islero with a top speed of 162 mph. In total, 177 examples of the original 400 GT models were produced between 1971 and 1973.

This example is one of a believed 21 examples fitted with dual removable glass roof panels. The interior is upholstered in rich tan leather with the exterior finished in metallic blue. It has a wooden steering wheel, shift knob, and dashboard.

The car was restored in the early 1990s and it was subsequently thoroughly freshened in 2006. It has been owned by a major sports car collection for a quarter century. Currently, the odometer shows just over 15,000 miles.

Power is from a double overhead-cam V-12 engine displacing 3929cc and offering 350 horsepower. There is a five-speed manual gearbox and four-wheel disc brakes.
