Only 98 (or 96) of this seven-passenger formal sedan were built for the 1941 model year. Designed for chauffeur-driven comfort and privacy, it is equipped with a motorized divider glass operated from the rear passenger seat, jump seats that stow neatly into the divisional panel, and radio and power antenna controls accessible to the rear seat passenger.
Surviving as a symbol of a luxurious motoring lifestyle this car was originally purchased by the Singer (sewing machine) family for use at the family compound on Singer Island, Florida, where it remained until 1976. The family chauffeur inherited the car and ultimately sold it to a collector.
This car is an example of American limousine luxury. The driver's compartment features black instrument panel trim designed to match the dashboard and steering column and dark blue leather upholstery. The passenger compartment is upholstered in blue-gray wool broadcloth with wooden accents. The door and window handles are inlaid with gold.
