1960 Aston Martin DB4 GT Fastback Coupe

Only 75 GT road cars were turned out. A few more were specially made fo use by racing teams, and there were 19 even-faster ones, like this one, produced by Zagato. This was the second car built in the series of 19. It is car #0199 and was completed in December of 1960. The Zagato cars were built on a DB4GT chassis with an aluminum body. It is powered by a 6-cylinder 3.7-liter engine. This car was called a 'race car in luxury clothing.' It was restored in 2014 in the original color scheme of mid-metallic green lacquer.

This DB4GT was the third production car prepared by the Works Experimental Department in 1959. It was initially sold to Frank de Arellano of San Juan. The car was shipped to Nassau along with the factory official entry for Stirling Moss. When the factory car was terminally damaged in practice, 0103/L (this car), was conscripted for his use. He then won a five-lap race with the car and was leading the feature race when an air cleaner nut was ingested into the engine and bent a valve. After several additional owners, Peter Livonis, the owner of Aston Martin of North America, purchased 0103/L for his factory sponsored vintage racing team. It was fully restored and outfitted in racing trim by the factory. It has been raced in vintage events worldwide, driven by Stirling Moss, Mike Salmon and others. It was also one of the factory sponsored cars at the Monterey Histrocis Aston Martin year of 1989. 0103/L has been in the hands of its current owner since 1997, who has vintage raced and toured the car many times. One of these was when it was the featured car at the Speed Weeks reunion in Nassau. Stirling Moss was reunited with the car and drove it for four days.
